10 FC personnel martyred in terrorist attack on DI Khan check post

Islamabad (Web Desk): In a tragic event, 10 soldiers of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) lost their lives while valiantly defending an FC checkpoint in Darazinda, Dera Ismail Khan, during a coordinated attack by Khawarij terrorists.

The attack took place at night, with militants heavily armed and targeting the Zam FC checkpoint.

According to a spokesperson from the Ministry of Interior, the FC soldiers displayed immense bravery, engaging in fierce combat to protect the checkpoint. Their sacrifice was crucial in thwarting the terrorists' advance, despite being heavily outgunned.

The spokesperson confirmed that ten soldiers were martyred, and three others were injured in the confrontation.

Among the deceased, six were from South Waziristan and four from the Karak district. The names of the fallen soldiers include Naib Subedar Muhammad Jan, Naik Arif, Lance Naik Saeed-ur-Rehman, Sepoy Akhunzada, Sepoy Hazratullah, and Sepoys Mushtaq, Abdul Samad, Imran, Basir, and Mehtab.

Their courageous resistance highlighted their dedication to the security of Pakistan and regional peace.

The injured soldiers—Naik Hamza, Sepoy Hasan, and Sepoy Sabir Ayub—were promptly taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dera Ismail Khan, where they are reported to be in stable condition and receiving treatment.

“We pay tribute to the martyrs of the FC,” the spokesperson stated, noting that these great sacrifices only serve to strengthen the forces’ determination to eradicate terrorism. The Frontier Constabulary remains committed to eliminating the scourge of terrorism and ensuring peace,” the spokesperson added.
