Security forces kill 13 Indian-sponsored Khwarij in D.I Khan IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 13 Indian-sponsored khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Daraban area of Khayber Pakhtunkhawa’s Dera Ismail Khan, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on 24 September 24, 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan District, on reported presence of khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khwarij.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and resultantly, 13 Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell” the statement said.

It added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas including facilitation in suicide bombing attack in Daraban in December 2023, abduction and target killing of government officials and innocent civilians.

The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored kharji found in the area.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to the security forces for killing 13 Indian-backed terrorists in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan.

The terrorists who carried out a suicide attack in Daraban in December 2023, causing loss of innocent lives and property, were successfully eliminated in this recent operation, the prime minister said.

He said that with the professional expertise of the Pakistan Army and security forces, the menace of terrorism from the country will be uprooted.

“All government institutions are fully mobilized for the complete eradication of terrorism from the country”, the prime minister added.
