Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan on Tuesday strongly rejected baseless statement of the Indian Army Chief alleging "reactivation of terror camp" in Balakot.
Responding to a media question about the statement of the Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal rebutted it as completely baseless.
The FO Spokesperson said that the Indian allegations of "infiltration" from Pakistan reflect a desperate attempt to divert international attention from the humanitarian nightmare in occupied Kashmir being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces.
Dr Mohammad Faisal said that India would neither succeed in misleading the world community through these diversionary tactics nor will India be able to hide its unabated state-terrorism in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the FO spokesperson also denied Indian claims on social media that Pakistan failed to garner sufficient support for its stance on occupied Kashmir in the United States Human Rights Council (UNHRC), terming the reports as "contrary to facts and based on lies".
Dr Mohammad Faisal, in a statement, said that Pakistan had "successfully highlighted in Geneva the ongoing human rights violations and aggression by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir".
The spokesperson added that no voting had been held in the UNHCR session.
The statement said, "More than 50 countries demanded India to lift the curfew and end the lockdown [in occupied Kashmir] during the UNHCR session".
"The Kashmir issue was discussed in the UNHCR session due to Pakistan's efforts", the FO spokesperson added.
