Security forces kill 8 terrorists in Tank IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Eight terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored network Fitna al-Khwarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by Pakistan’s security forces in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa’s (KP) Tank district on Friday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following confirmed intelligence about the presence of these militants in the area. During an intense exchange of fire, the Indian proxy terrorists were eliminated.

The statement said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who had been actively involved in numerous attacks targeting security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.

It added that sanitization operation is underway to ensure that no other Indian-backed militant remains in the vicinity.

The military reaffirmed its resolve to continue the comprehensive Counter Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

“Security forces and law enforcement agencies will persist with full determination to root out all forms of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
