Pakistan, Iran to strengthen cooperation in cyber-security

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and Iran have agreed to deepen cooperation in a range of key areas, including security, counterterrorism, cyber security and immigration management.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Islamabad, where the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on the evolving regional situation.

During the talks, Momeni expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and the accompanying delegation during their recent visit to Pakistan.

Mohsin Naqvi congratulated his Iranian counterpart on the joint declaration announced in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, describing it as a significant achievement. He said the breakthrough was made possible through the dedicated efforts and leadership of the Iranian government.

The interior minister reiterated that Pakistan has consistently supported peace and stability at both the regional and international levels and would continue to play its role in promoting sustainable peace across the Middle East.
