Islamabad (Staff Report): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has announced that the party will hold protests against Punjab government over Model Town incident from 27th January.
According to details, PAT’s leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said in a statement that the party will continue its struggle to lead the corrupt rulers to their logical end. "PAT chief Tahir-ul-Qadri will also address the anti-government protests," he added.
On 17th June 2014, over 14 people, including several PAT workers lost their lives in clashes with Punjab Police at Lahore’s Model Town area.
PAT Chairman repeatedly claimed that government has failed to provide him justice into the matter and he termed Model Town incident “state terrorism” and said that he will knock all doors he could find for justice.
The PAT chairman had also vowed to raise the issue of Model Town incident with European Union (EU) and International Human Rights Commission.
