DPM Dar meets Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus

Dhaka (Web Desk): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in Dhaka, aiming to revive and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a spokesperson from Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the meeting focused on restoring diplomatic ties, increasing connectivity among youth, and exploring ways to deepen cooperation. Ishaq Dar also extended warm regards from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Professor Yunus.

The discussions included an exchange on the current regional situation and the potential for broader regional cooperation. Ishaq Dar thanked the Bangladeshi government for its gracious hospitality.

This visit marks the first official trip by a Pakistani Foreign Minister to Bangladesh in 13 years. During his stay, Ishaq Dar has held multiple meetings with key Bangladeshi officials, including a detailed session with Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Muhammad Touhid Hossain.

Both sides explored various aspects of bilateral relations, such as high-level diplomatic engagement, trade and economic collaboration, cultural exchanges, education and skills development, and humanitarian cooperation.

The meetings underscore Pakistan’s commitment to rebuilding strong ties with Bangladesh and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
