Lahore (Staff Report): Newly-elected president of Pakistan Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges (PAMI) Prof Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman has urged the government to take all stakeholders onboard for evolving any policy.
“The regulatory policy is not our issue but we want a sustainable policy,” said Prof Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday. He said the PAMI is striving hard for quality education in the country.
On Saturday, Chairman of Azra Naheed Medical College Prof Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman elected as unopposed president PAMI.
Heads of all the private medical colleges across the country took part in the voting process.
Talking to the participants after sworn in as president, Prof Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman said that all the matters including the issue of Pakistan Medical Council (PMC) would be resolved effectively.
The newly-elected president also urged the government to take private sector onboard to bring drastic improvement in medical sector.
Dr Tariq from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was elected as Vice President and Dr Riaz Janjua as General Secretary. While, Dr Ali Farhan elected as unopposed Joint Secretary and Abdul Waheed Shaikh as Finance Secretary.
