Iranian President Pezeshkian to undertake state visit to Pakistan on Tuesday 

Islamabad (Web Desk): At the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian is set to arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday for a state visit, accompanied by a senior delegation that includes ministers and other high-ranking officials.

According to a press release issued on Monday by the Foreign Office spokesperson, During his stay, President Pezeshkian will separately meet President Asif Ali Zardari and hold official talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

“According to a press release issued on Monday by the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Chairman of the Senate, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will also meet the visiting Iranian president.”

This will be Dr Pezeshkian’s second visit to Pakistan in his capacity as the President of Iran.

“The two sides will undertake a comprehensive review of their bilateral relations and look into fresh opportunities to strengthen cooperation in multiple areas, including trade, energy, border security, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity.”

The visit will also serve as a key occasion to continue diplomatic discussions following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, along with exchanges on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The FO spokesperson added that the upcoming visit highlights the strong commitment of Pakistan and Iran to further deepen their longstanding historic and cultural relations, while also reflecting their shared desire for peace, stability, and sustainable development across the region.
