US Defense Secretary Pat Hegseth warns of stronger response if Iran attacks

Washington (Web Desk): US Defense Secretary Pat Hegseth stated in a press conference that if Iran launches an attack, the United States will respond with full force — even more severely than the previous night.

He further revealed that the US has destroyed Iran’s nuclear sites and has repeatedly declared that Iran will not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Hegseth mentioned that the US gave Iran 60 days to engage in diplomatic talks, but the Iranian nuclear program was ultimately dismantled. Referring to President Trump’s stance, he said:

"President Trump has repeatedly said that Iran cannot obtain nuclear weapons."
He praised the US personnel involved in the operation against the Fordow nuclear plant, saying every soldier performed exceptionally well.

The Defense Secretary emphasized that no Iranian military or civilian casualties occurred during the operation, and that Iran’s nuclear ambitions have been completely crushed.

Hegseth added that President Trump desires peace and that Iran must follow the same path.
