Pakistan, China sign 24 MoUs to bolster digital collaboration

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and China have deepened their technological partnership with the signing of 24 memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening digital cooperation.

The agreements, finalized in Beijing under the framework of the Joint Working Group on IT Cooperation, include a mix of government-to-government, government-to-business, and business-to-business arrangements—one, seven, and sixteen respectively.

The collaboration is centered on the creation of a practical and forward-looking digital corridor, designed to foster innovation and expand opportunities within the IT sector.

This initiative is expected to provide new avenues for Pakistani technology firms while supporting joint development in ICT infrastructure.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom has been actively driving international collaborations to equip up to 300,000 Pakistani youth with advanced digital skills, accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence, and boost the country’s IT exports and overall digital capacity, signaling a concerted push to position Pakistan as a competitive player in the global technology landscape.
