British envoy appreciates, supports Pakistan's role in bringing US and Iran on negotiating table

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday met with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott to review the current and shifting situation in the region.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO), during the meeting, Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote engagement among relevant parties and reiterated that lasting solutions to disputes can only be achieved through dialogue and diplomatic channels rather than confrontation.

The British high commissioner acknowledged and expressed support for Pakistan’s role in encouraging and facilitating communication that helped bring the United States (US) and Iran closer to negotiations and dialogue.

The meeting reflected a shared emphasis on diplomacy as a preferred path for managing regional tensions and advancing peaceful outcomes.
