Punjab CM inaugurates mobile police station & licensing unit in Lahore

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday launched the Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit Project in Lahore, introducing a new era of accessible policing and citizen facilitation.

Under this initiative, people will now be able to lodge First Information Reports (FIRs) directly through mobile police stations for the first time in the province’s history.

The service will further extend to issuing and renewing various types of driving licenses, including learner, regular, international, and those designed specifically for women.

At the launch event, Maryam Nawaz formally handed over the keys of the mobile police stations and licensing vehicles to the designated officers.

The Punjab CM also directed the personnel to maintain a courteous and empathetic attitude while dealing with the public, ensuring that the initiative truly serves the people with compassion and efficiency.
