Security forces kill 13 Indian-backed terrorists in separate KP operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The security forces killed 13 terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna-al-Khwarij in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw (KP), the military’s media wig said on Friday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a decisive operation in Lakki Marwat’s Pahar Khel Pukha area, security forces, alongside the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), successfully neutralized 10 militants, including two prominent commanders, following critical intelligence.

“During the engagement, five other militants were injured, and authorities arrested a facilitator who was aiding the group,” the statement said.

Officials said the intelligence indicated that 20 to 30 militants were moving from the Betani area toward Pahar Khel in organized groups.

“Responding swiftly, police and security forces launched a targeted operation. Among those killed were Niaz Ali, also known as Akasha, and Abdullah, also called Shapunkoi, who were commanders in the Tipu Gul Bahadur faction,” the ISPR said.

During the clearance, seven bodies were recovered, while retrieving three others was delayed due to security concerns.

The authorities confirmed that search and security operations are ongoing to ensure the area is completely secured.

In another intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, the security forces killed 3 terrorists.

The miltary’s media wing said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm-e-Istehkam" as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
