Monsoon rains continue across punjab

Lahore (Web Desk): Monsoon rains continue to lash various parts of Punjab, creating difficulties for residents. Dark clouds once again covered Lahore, while rainwater accumulation caused two road sections near Shaukat Khanum Hospital to develop potholes.

The second spell of monsoon rains is ongoing in several districts of Punjab, including Sialkot and Gujranwala.

In Sarai Alamgir, heavy rainfall turned the main GT Road into a waterlogged stretch, resulting in long queues of vehicles and causing inconvenience for commuters.

Meanwhile, low-level flooding in the River Chenab has prompted authorities to evacuate riverside communities in Jalalpur Bhattian.

Residents from nearby villages are also continuing to move to safer locations due to the rising water levels.

In Kasur, the administration has been put on alert over the potential flood threat in the River Sutlej. Meanwhile, rescue teams in Ahmedpur East are conducting training exercises to prepare for any possible flood situation.
