Islamabad (Staff Report): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Tuesday approved the reduction in electricity price by Rs 1.90 per unit on account of fuel adjustment of May.
A hearing over the request of Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) for the fuel adjustment of May was held in Islamabad under the chair of NEPRA Chairperson Tariq Sadozai.
The CPPA requested that the price of per unit electricity be slashed by Rs 1.89.
During the hearing, it was said that the fuel cost estimated for May was Rs 6.77 but it stayed at Rs 4.87.
Therefore, the NEPRA chairperson approved the reduction in electricity price.
