PM Shehbaz felicitates Spain on well-deserved victory in FIFA World Cup 2026

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday extended his congratulations to Spain after the team lifted the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy, describing the triumph as fully deserved and praising the players for their outstanding skill, discipline, unity and collective effort throughout the competition.

In a message shared on X, the prime minister also conveyed his warm congratulations to US President Donald Trump and the American people for the successful organisation of the historic tournament and the excellent arrangements made for the event.

He also paid tribute to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the entire FIFA administration for their dedication in staging the global spectacle, saying their efforts would further elevate football's position as one of the world's most celebrated sports.

The premier said the FIFA World Cup had once again shown that sport serves as a common language capable of bringing nations together beyond geographical and cultural boundaries while inspiring people across the globe.
