“This recognition at such a high level has elevated Pakistan’s standing on the world stage and is a proud moment for Pakistanis everywhere,” he remarked, describing it as evidence of Pakistan’s effective foreign policy and the outcome of coordinated efforts by its leadership.
Tarar highlighted that Pakistan is increasingly being seen as a strong and influential actor internationally, moving away from a period when the country was largely diplomatically isolated.
He emphasized that achievements like this are possible when leadership acts with honesty and puts national interests first.
The minister also pointed out that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a clear stance during the meeting, affirming that Palestinian land belongs to its people and that they must be allowed to exercise their right to self-determination in line with UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
He praised the prime minister for consistently advocating for Palestinians, noting that he has presented their case at major international forums, including the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Tarar stressed that the creation of an independent Palestinian state is essential for long-term peace in the region, reflecting the views of the wider Muslim community.
He added that the meeting concluded with a friendly exchange between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Trump, where their body language reflected mutual respect and trust.
The information minister said that due to the effective policies of the incumbent government, Pakistan now enjoys a respected and prominent role in international affairs.
