Historic step: Punjab govt enforces Forest (Amendment) Act 2025

Lahore (Web Desk): The Punjab government has enforced the Forest (Amendment) Act 2025 to strengthen forest protection and ensure sustainable management of natural resources.

Under the new law, penalties for illegal logging, encroachment on forest land, and environmental crimes have been significantly enhanced, while monitoring, enforcement, and transparency mechanisms have been improved.
