Gold price increases by Rs13,700, jumps to Rs471,936 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp rise on Thursday, with the rate of 24-karat gold climbing by Rs13,700 to reach Rs471,936 per tola, according to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams increased by Rs11,746, reaching Rs404,609, while 22-karat gold for the same quantity rose by Rs10,768 to Rs370,905.

In the international market, gold was trading at $4,495 per ounce, marking an increase of $137 compared with the previous session.

Silver prices also moved higher in the domestic market. The rate of 24-karat silver rose by Rs369 per tola to Rs7,169.

Similarly, the price of 24-karat silver for 10 grams increased by Rs317 to Rs6,146. Internationally, silver was quoted at $66.90 per ounce, showing a gain of $3.69 from the previous session.

The APSGJA said the gold rates were calculated on the basis of interbank exchange rates, with 24-karat gold measured at a purity level of 999.
