PM Shehbaz assures all possible measures to accelerate recovery efforts in flood-hit areas

Buner (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the flood-ravaged areas of Swat, Buner, Shangla, and Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), underscoring the government’s resolve to deploy every available resource to speed up relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Accompanied by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and federal ministers, the premier received detailed updates on rescue operations currently underway in the province.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz engaged with flood survivors, assuring them that both the federal administration and the Pakistan Army remain steadfast in providing full support during this difficult period.

He appreciated the relentless efforts of the armed forces and local authorities, reaffirming his commitment to stand alongside those affected until normal life is restored.

The prime minister also highlighted the serious issues posed by illegal land grabs, the timber mafia, and unauthorized mining and crushing activities, particularly along waterways, which significantly worsen the impact of flooding.

He made it clear that Pakistan must uphold strict law enforcement with no exceptions, directing authorities to take firm action against violators.

On the occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also interacted with with soldiers, police, and civil personnel engaged in the relief work, commending their dedication and urging them to continue their mission with unwavering devotion.

He emphasized that safeguarding the well-being of citizens remains the highest priority for the armed forces and civil administration alike.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz and his delegation also offered prayers for those who lost their lives in the calamity.
