Govt reduces petrol price by Rs1.65 per litre, diesel by Rs0.88 per litre

Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced a fresh reduction in petroleum prices, cutting the cost of petrol by Rs1.65 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.88 per litre.

With the latest adjustment, petrol will now be sold at Rs389.14 per litre, while the new price of high-speed diesel stands at Rs424.04 per litre.

The Petroleum Division, in its official notification, stated that the revised rates will come into effect from September 19 (Saturday) and remain applicable until September 21 (Monday).

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) said the revision was made in response to movements in petroleum prices in the global market.

According to the regulator, international crude rates, petroleum premiums and other related factors were taken into account while determining the updated prices.
