Hot, dry weather likely in most parts of country: PMD

Islamabad (Web Desk): Hot and mostly dry conditions are expected to dominate much of the country over the next twelve hours, while southern and central regions are likely to experience intense heat.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in contrast, partly cloudy weather is anticipated in isolated areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly regions, where dust storms, thunderstorms, and rainfall may also occur.

Early morning temperature readings from major cities recorded Islamabad at 28°C, Lahore and Karachi at 29°C each, Peshawar at 26°C, Quetta at 21°C, Gilgit at 16°C, Murree at 17°C, and Muzaffarabad at 19°C.

Meanwhile, the weather outlook for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates partly cloudy conditions with the possibility of rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms across Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla.

Morning temperatures in the region were noted as 13°C in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Shopian, 26°C in Jammu, a cold 2°C in Leh, and 14°C in Anantnag and Baramulla.
