Under Modi regime, sexual exploitation cases surge in India, women's, children's safety at risk

Mumbai (Web Desk: Under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India, there has been a troubling increase in incidents of sexual assault against women and children.

 A tragic case emerged in Tamil Nadu, where a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while returning from school. The police, however, were slow to act in response to the incident. This has drawn severe criticism from the opposition, targeting Chief Minister MK Stalin.

According to reports from the United Nations (UN) and the Indian government, young girls in India are the most vulnerable to sexual exploitation.

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has confirmed a rapid rise in crimes against children, while law enforcement agencies in India have failed to implement effective protective measures.

The ineffective policies of the Modi government, coupled with political infighting and a lack of social tolerance, are exacerbating this grave issue. As a result, the safety and dignity of women and children in India have become increasingly jeopardized.
