Luxembourg City: Prince Louis and Princess Tessy of Luxembourg are divorcing after ten years of marriage, The Daily Mail reported.
Princess Tessy released a statement confirming their 'extremely sad' divorce but said they will 'always remain unified by parenthood to our two precious boys'.
The most recent high-profile royal divorce in Europe took place in 2005, when Princess Alexandra of Denmark and Prince Joachim officially ended their marriage.
However, in August 2016 Princess Martha Louise of Norway and her husband Ari Behn announced their separation, so it is possible they may finalise their divorce before Prince Louis and Tessy's split becomes official.
This changed on Luxembourg National Day on 23 June 2009, when Tessy was given the title Princess of Luxembourg and their sons and future heirs the title, Prince of Nassau.
