PM Shehbaz in Washington to attend inaugural 'Board of Peace' meeting

Washington (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in Washington on Thursday to take part in the first-ever meeting of the Board of Peace, held at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.

He is accompanied by a senior Pakistani delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Apart from attending the Board’s maiden session, PM Shehbaz is also expected to meet top American officials during his visit.

The prime minister's visit to Washington signals Pakistan’s active participation as a member of the Board of Peace and reflects the country’s continuing diplomatic engagement aimed at fostering international peace and stability.

The visit is further expected to create space for dialogue on bilateral ties, along with broader global issues that are of mutual interest to both nations.
