Security forces kill 15 Indian-sponsored terrorists in separate KP operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed at least 15 terrorists, including a ringleader affiliated with Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij, in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the Security Forces in general area Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District on November 15-16.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resultantly ten khwarij including kharji ring leader Alam Mehsud were sent to hell,” it said.

In another IBO conducted in general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, own troops successfully neutralized five more khwarij.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday praised the security forces after 15 militants were eliminated in two separate operations in KP.

In their separate statements, the president and the prime minister applauded the forces’ planning and execution during the actions carried out in Kolachi, Dera Ismail Khan, and in Datta Khel, North Waziristan.

The operations targeted militants linked to the Indian-backed outfit Fitna al-Khawarij, and among those killed was its ringleader, Alam Mehsud.

Both leaders said the continuing anti-terror drive under the banner of “Azm-e-Istehkam” reflects the country’s united determination to secure long-term peace.

They added that the security forces are consistently achieving meaningful progress in this mission.

President Zardari emphasized that the effort to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism would proceed with full national consensus. He cautioned that any political attempts to distract, disrupt, or weaken this shared resolve against extremism would not be accepted.

Paying tribute to the armed forces and law-enforcement personnel, he said their courage and commitment would, God willing, help free Pakistan from the menace of terrorism.

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the struggle against militancy.

He reaffirmed Pakistan's determination to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.
