Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 30 khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Sararogha, South Waziristan district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on February 17, 2025, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area Sararogha, South Waziristan district on the reported presence of Khwarij.
“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, as a result of which, thirty khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.
The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other kharji found in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday lauded the security forces for their successful operation in South Waziristan in which 30 Khwarij terrorists were eliminated.
As per a press release issued by President Secretariat Press Wing, the president reaffirmed resolve to complete eradication of Fitna al-Khwarij and said that security forces were carrying out operations to eliminate the specter of terrorism.
“The entire nation was united against terrorism,” President Zardari said.
He further reiterated that operations against Fitna al-Khwarij would continue till its complete elimination.
PM Shehbaz said that would continue foiling the nefarious designs of the enemies of humanity, adding that security forces were reaching nearer to the target of effacing terrorism with each day.
“The sacrifices of the sons of the soil will not go in vain,” wing, in a press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.
The prime minister said the government and the security forces were fully committed to completely wipe out terrorism from the country.
