Pakistan conducts successful flight test of cruise missile Ra'ad-II: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan on Tuesday conducted successful flight test of Air Launched Cruise Missile Ra'ad-II.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Ra'ad-II, with a range of 600 kilometers, significantly enhances air delivered strategic standoff capability on land and at sea.

The weapon system is equipped with state of the art guidance and navigation systems ensuring engagement of targets with high precision.

The ISPR statement said that the successful flight test was observed by Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, NESCOM chairperson Dr Nabeel Hayat Malik and senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Strategic forces and other strategic organisations.

The statement added that the president, prime minister, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee and services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test.

In January 2020, Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of surface-to-surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi, capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to a range of 290 kilometers.
