Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif distributed cheques as part of the 'Asaan Karobar Scheme' in Lahore on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony, she highlighted that within just a month of launching the initiative, interest-free loans ranging from Rs1 million to Rs30 million are being provided to young people, aiming to promote entrepreneurship.
She said that that Pakistan’s financial situation and the living standards of its citizens have shown noticeable improvements after a period of seven to eight years.
Speaking on the accessibility of financial resources, the Punjab CM shared that over 185,000 applications have already been received for loans of up to Rs1 million, while 71,000 people have applied for loans of up to Rs30 million.
Maryam Nawaz also mentioned the success of the Apna Ghar Scheme, under which 13,000 individuals have benefited from housing loans to date.
