Shehbaz, Erdogan reaffirm commitment to strengthen Pakistan-Turkiye ties

Antalya (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an important bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to further strengthen their strategic partnership based on brotherhood, mutual cooperation, and a shared vision for peace and prosperity.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and other senior officials. On the Turkish side, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and other senior officials assisted President Erdoğan.

The discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere, where President Erdoğan praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s diplomatic efforts for promoting peace in the region and reiterated Türkiye’s continued support for Pakistan’s role in regional stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated President Erdoğan on the successful organization of the forum, noting that the Antalya Diplomacy Forum has now become an important global platform for diplomatic engagement.

Both leaders also discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East in detail. The Prime Minister briefed President Erdoğan on progress related to ceasefire efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on several key points, including holding the 8th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting in Ankara later this year, accelerating the implementation of ongoing projects, and exploring new avenues of economic cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked President Erdoğan for his warm hospitality and expressed satisfaction over the continued positive trajectory of Pakistan–Türkiye relations.
