Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a significant cut in diesel prices, providing relief to the public.
According to details, the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs32.12 per litre.
After the reduction, the new price has been set at Rs353.43 per litre, down from Rs385.54.
The prime minister directed authorities to ensure that the benefits of declining global oil prices are passed on to consumers as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the international market continue to show a downward trend.
Following Iran’s announcement regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, Brent crude fell by around 13%, reaching approximately $81 per barrel.
US crude oil prices are also trading near the same level amid the bearish trend in the global market.
