US dollar edges down slightly in Pakistan’s interbank market

Karachi (Web Desk): The US dollar recorded a marginal decline in Pakistan’s interbank foreign exchange market, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)..

The central bank reported that the dollar closed at Rs278.30 during the latest business session, marking a one-paisa decrease compared to the previous closing rate of Rs278.31.

Financial experts said such minor fluctuations are a routine feature of currency markets and are influenced by factors including supply and demand conditions, import-related payments, and movements in foreign exchange reserves.

They added that the Pakistani rupee has shown relative stability in recent days, which has helped improve sentiment among traders and the business community.

Market observers noted that the future direction of the dollar will depend on upcoming domestic economic indicators as well as global financial developments.
