Australia: Woman wakes up to find a 2.5-meter long snake in her bed

Brisbane (Web Desk): A woman in Brisbane, Australia, was left shocked and terrified when she woke up from her sleep to find a 2.5-meter-long carpet python (snake) lying on her bed.

Rachel Blower explained that at first, she thought the weight on her chest and stomach was her pet dog. But when she placed her hand on the blanket, she felt something move underneath. That’s when she realized it wasn’t an animal, but a snake.

Rachel immediately woke her husband and asked him to turn on the lights. As soon as the lights were on, her husband saw the massive snake on the bed and quickly warned Rachel, saying, “Don’t move, there’s a snake almost 2.5 meters long on top of you!”

Her husband quickly moved their pet dogs out of the room to ensure their safety while Rachel had to face the snake herself. From another room, her husband instructed Rachel to slowly move out from under the blanket.

With great caution, Rachel shifted and carefully got out of bed, then helped the snake make its way out through the window.

Rachel speculated that the snake had climbed up the wall to the second floor, pushed open the window shutter, and then slid onto the bed.

Interestingly, Rachel mentioned that she wasn’t too frightened because she grew up in a rural area. Laughing, she said she was glad it was a snake and not a frog, as frogs scare her more than snakes.

After the incident, Rachel and her family were completely safe, but this remains the strangest and most unbelievable experience of their lives.
