Jordan's King Abdullah II in Pakistan on two-day visit

Islamabad (Web Desk): Jordan's King Abdullah II has arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit to Pakistan.

He was warmly welcomed at Nur Khan Airbase by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

King Abdullah II is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the aim of further strengthening the long-standing brotherly ties between the two countries.

After arriving at the airport, King Abdullah was escorted to the Prime Minister’s House, where he was presented with a Guard of Honor.

During his visit, King Abdullah is scheduled to meet with both the President and Prime Minister, and he will also be awarded Pakistan's highest civilian honor at the Aiwan-e-Sadr (President's House).

According to a Foreign Office (FO), the meetings are set to cover the entire range of cooperation and ties between the two brotherly nations.

"This high-profile visit highlights the enduring and fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Jordan. It aims to reinforce the strategic partnership, elevating it to a new level while promoting collaboration across political, economic, and cultural fields," the FO said.
