450 Pakistani students to be evacuated from Iran in first batch: DPM

Islamabad (Web Desk): In response to the evolving regional situation, Pakistan has successfully evacuated 450 of its Zaireen from Iran. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of Pakistani nationals abroad.

He further stated that arrangements are underway for the safe evacuation of Pakistani students currently residing in Iran, with the first batch of 154 students set to be evacuated shortly.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also mentioned that the Pakistani embassy in Iraq is in close contact with Zaireen stranded there due to airspace closures. Efforts are ongoing to guarantee their safe stay in Iraq and facilitate their evacuation if possible.

He emphasized that Pakistani embassies across the region are coordinating closely to provide support to Pakistani nationals and Zaireen.
