Dense fog in Karachi reduces visibility

Karachi (Web Desk): According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi is currently experiencing dense fog, with visibility reduced to just 0.2 kilometers. The city is also under a cold and dry weather spell, and it is expected that this weather pattern will persist for the next 24 hours.

At present, the temperature in the city is 14°C, with a minimum of 12°C and a maximum temperature ranging from 24°C to 27°C expected later today. The humidity level in the air stands at 94%, while northeastern winds are blowing at a speed of 3 km/h.

However, the Air Quality Index (AQI) reveals that Karachi's air is unhealthy for sensitive individuals. The city ranks 9th among the most polluted cities in the world, with the air quality level reaching 135, indicating a significant level of air pollution. The concentration of particulate matter (PM) has been recorded at 49 micrograms per cubic meter, posing a potential health risk to the city's residents.
