2nd ODI: Pakistan win toss, field first against Sri Lanka 

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first against Sri Lanka in the second One-Day International (ODI) at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s captain, missed the match after coming down with the flu and was replaced by fellow pacer Mohammad Wasim Jr. Meanwhile, all-rounder Faheem Ashraf was rested, allowing spinner Abrar Ahmed to make his return to the playing XI, stand-in skipper Salman Ali Agha confirmed at the toss.

Originally set for Thursday, both today’s match and the series finale had to be rescheduled after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed the continuation of their tour.

The decision came in the aftermath of Tuesday’s tragic suicide bombing in Islamabad, which claimed 12 lives and left 36 others injured outside a court in the federal capital.

The series will now conclude at the same venue on November 16, giving fans a chance to witness the final clash between the two sides.
