Haryana women’s commission demands action against rapper Badshah over controversial song

Haryana, India: The Haryana State Commission for Women has called for strict action against popular rapper Badshah over his recent Haryanvi music video Tatiri, which allegedly contains offensive and inappropriate content about women.

According to Indian media reports, the Commission said that Badshah must be arrested immediately as he failed to appear despite receiving official notices. Two FIRs have also been filed in connection with the video.

Renu Bhatia, Chairperson of the Commission, told reporters that she instructed the Superintendent of Police in Panipat to arrest Badshah wherever he is found and to seize his passport to prevent him from leaving the country.

Badshah’s lawyer had requested more time to respond, but the request was denied.

The Chairperson also wrote to the National Commission for Women, urging that no shows or performances by Badshah be allowed in India.

Following public backlash, Badshah issued an apology on Instagram and removed the song Tatiri from digital platforms.

Haryana Police have initiated a lookout notice against him, and multiple teams are conducting raids to secure his arrest. Authorities stated that the video depicts schoolgirls inappropriately and uses offensive language against women.
