Pakistan, Bangladesh vow stronger bilateral cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Bangladesh’s Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, held talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during his visit to Islamabad.

The meeting took place on Monday, where DPM Dar welcomed the Bangladeshi minister on the occasion of the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women hosted by Pakistan’s capital.

He commended Bangladesh for its active participation in the conference and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to promote greater collaboration on women’s empowerment within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and at other international forums.

Reflecting on his official trip to Dhaka in August last year, the deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding relations with Bangladesh.

He stressed Islamabad’s willingness to strengthen cooperation across a wide range of areas that serve the common interests of both countries.

During the meeting, the two sides also explored opportunities to deepen bilateral engagement in trade, education, social welfare and people-to-people exchanges, reaffirming their shared interest in enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
