Govt announces new petroleum prices

Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced revised prices for petroleum products, with the new rates taking effect from August 14, 2026.

According to the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reviewed the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s revised pricing mechanism.

As per the notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs1.16 per litre. Following the revision, the price of diesel has risen from Rs382.79 to Rs383.95 per litre.

The revised rates will come into effect from August 14. The increase in diesel prices is likely to affect transportation and freight costs, with potential implications for other sectors that rely heavily on diesel for their operations.
