45 Indian-backed terrorists killed, 19 soldiers martyred in KP operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The security forces killed 45 terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, during separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) from September 10 to 13, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in Bajaur District.

“During the conduct of operation, troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, 22 Indian-sponsored khwarij were killed,” the statement said.

In another encounter that took place in South Waziristan District, 13 more Khwarij were neutralised by the security forces.

“However, during intense fire exchange, twelve brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat,” the ISPR said.

The military’s media wing said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian-sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas

It added that sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji in the area.

Separately, the security forces killed 10 Indian -sponsored Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation in general area Lal Qilla Maidan, Lower Dir on September 11.

As per the ISPR, the Khwarij were sent to hell after an intense fire exchange during the conduct of operation.

“However, seven brave sons of soil having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat while saving precious lives of innocent civilians, who were made hostage by Indian sponsored Khawarij,” the statement said.

Those embraced martyrdom include Naik Abdul Jalil resident of North Waziristan, Naik Gul Jan and Lance Naik Azmat Ullah, residents of Lakki Marwat, Sepoy Abdul Malik resident of Khyber, Sepoy Muhammad Amjad resident of Malakand, Sepoy Muhammad Dawood resident of Swabi and Sepoy Fazal Qayum of Dera Ismail Khan.

The military’s media wing said that Sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

The statement said that intelligence reports have unequivocally confirmed physical involvement of Afghan Nationals in these heinous acts. Besides, use of Afghan soil against Pakistan by Fitna-al-Khawarij terrorists continues to remain a grave point of concern, the statement added.

“Pakistan expects the Interim Afghan Government to uphold its responsibilities and deny use of its soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan,” the ISPR said.
