Pakistan ready to partner with OIC for women's digital empowerment: Shaza

Islamabad  (Web Desk): Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has said Pakistan is prepared to strengthen collaboration with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to transform ideas into practical initiatives and digital platforms aimed at empowering women.

Addressing the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad, she said Pakistan is committed to working closely with fellow OIC countries by sharing its experiences while also learning from their expertise and adopting advanced technologies to enhance women's participation in the digital and IT sectors.

The minister said the government is striving to ensure that every girl in Pakistan has access to digital connectivity, along with a secure digital identity and financial account, enabling her to fully benefit from opportunities in the digital economy.
