World’s number one T20I bowler Imad Wasim will feature for Durham County in England’s popular domestic cricket competition NatWest T20 Blast this summer.
The 28-year-old cricketer will fly to England to represent Durham Jets in the ongoing T20 Blast, subject to him being granted the visa.
He also expressed his excitement by saying that England’s T20 Blast will be a great opportunity and he is waiting for his visa.
Imad displaced South African spinner Imran Tahir to claim the top spot in ICC T20I bowlers’ rankings last month.
On Wednesday, he was promoted to Category B of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s new central contract list, from Category C.
Fast bowler Mohammad Amir is already representing Essex in the T20 Blast while former captain Shahid Afridi is playing for Hampshire. Pacer Junaid Khan left for UK earlier this week to feature for Lancashire in the T20 competition.
