US lauds Pakistan’s security, counter-terror efforts

Islamabad (Web Desk): The strategic partnership between Pakistan and the United States (us) is showing signs of further consolidation, with US officials lauding Pakistan’s efforts in counter-terrorism, regional security, and controlling illegal migration.

In a key meeting in Islamabad, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary John Mark Pomeroy-Shyme and Chargé d’Affaires Nettley Baker to discuss bilateral cooperation.

The US delegation praised Pakistan’s recent measures to combat terrorism and ensure stability in the region. Pakistan’s initiatives to curb illegal human smuggling and migration were also welcomed.

Additionally, the United States reaffirmed support for boosting investment in Pakistan’s energy sector.

According to a statement from the US Embassy, the partnership will continue to ensure a safe and favorable environment for US businesses operating in Pakistan.

Officials highlighted that the growing collaboration across defense, economic, and trade sectors underscores Pakistan’s increasing strategic significance on the global stage.
