Gauri Khan turns family home into luxury villa

Mumbai (Web Desk): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and celebrated interior designer Gauri Khan has transformed her family’s nearly century-old ancestral property into a luxurious villa, giving new life to a piece of heritage.

The historic home, originally built in 1933, has been carefully restored and redesigned into a six-bedroom luxury retreat in the scenic hill town of Dalhousie.

The property has now been opened to the public as a high-end resort, where an overnight stay reportedly costs up to Rs120,000.

Despite being married to one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Gauri Khan has always maintained her own professional identity.

She has continued her work as an interior designer and has styled the homes of several prominent personalities, including her own iconic residence, Mannat, where she lives with Shah Rukh Khan and their children.

This project holds special emotional value for Gauri, as the ancestral home was a place where she spent many summer holidays during her childhood with family and cousins.

The restoration work was carried out in collaboration with her cousin Rustom Tiwari, while the property remains owned by her uncle, Tejinder Tiwari.

The century-old family estate has now been reborn as a luxury getaway, offering visitors a unique blend of nostalgia, comfort, and breathtaking mountain views.
