Govt decides to convene Senate, NA sessions on August 17

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has forwarded summaries seeking the convening of sessions of both the Senate and the National Assembly (NA) on August 17, with important national and parliamentary matters expected to come under discussion.

According to the proposed schedule, the Senate session will begin at 4pm on August 17, while the National Assembly will meet at 5pm on the same day.

The summaries have been sent to the relevant authorities for approval. Once the required formalities are completed, official notifications for convening the two sessions will be issued.

The upcoming sittings are expected to provide lawmakers with an opportunity to deliberate on a range of issues of national importance, along with matters related to parliamentary affairs and government business.

Members of both houses are likely to raise issues concerning their constituencies and draw the government’s attention to matters affecting the public.
