PM Shehbaz congratulates Amjad Hussain on assuming office as GB CM

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday telephoned newly elected Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain Advocate to congratulate him on assuming office and extend his best wishes for a successful tenure.

During the conversation, the prime minister expressed confidence that the new provincial leadership would work for the progress, stability, and prosperity of Gilgit-Baltistan while addressing the needs and aspirations of its people.

Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to working closely with the Gilgit-Baltistan government to accelerate development projects, improve public services, and promote economic growth across the region.

He emphasized that the Centre would extend full cooperation to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The prime minister also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the federal and regional governments to unlock the area's development potential, strengthen infrastructure, and create greater opportunities for local communities.
