Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan has voiced serious concern over the recent rise in regional tensions, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue to prevent further escalation.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Foreign Office said Pakistan is closely monitoring the latest developments in the region with deep concern, warning that recent incidents have contributed to an increasingly fragile security environment.
The statement reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all brotherly countries in the region. It urged all sides to avoid actions that could further inflame the situation and to take immediate steps toward de-escalation through peaceful means.
The Foreign Office also stressed the importance of honoring commitments made under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, describing adherence to the agreement as essential for maintaining regional peace, stability, and mutual trust.
Reiterating its longstanding commitment to peaceful conflict resolution, Pakistan said it remains ready to extend every possible support to promote lasting peace and stability through dialogue, diplomacy, and constructive engagement.
The statement underscored that meaningful communication and cooperation remain the only viable path to resolving regional disputes and ensuring long-term security.
