President, PM pay rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on his 77th death anniversary

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in their separate messages on the 77th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation for his remarkable leadership and lifelong struggle that led to the establishment of Pakistan.

The president and the premier urged the people of Pakistan to remain guided by Jinnah’s principles of justice, equality, democracy, and tolerance.

President Zardari, in his statement, recalled how Quaid-e-Azam not only secured a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent but also gave them identity, dignity, and self-respect.

He highlighted that Jinnah envisioned a progressive and inclusive nation where citizens of all religions and backgrounds would enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

Referring to the ongoing situation in India, President Zardari pointed out that the mistreatment of minorities under the RSS-inspired government had once again proven the relevance of the Two-Nation Theory.

He said even India’s minority communities now admit that their political, social, and religious freedoms are no longer guaranteed, which reaffirms that Pakistan’s creation was not just justified but inevitable.The president acknowledged the difficult challenges Pakistan currently faces, including economic struggles, climate change, extremism, and the need for institutional reforms.

He urged the nation to follow the path of Jinnah and the Pakistan Movement leaders, who overcame great odds with unity and determination.

Calling this a defining moment for the country, President Zardari stressed the importance of building a democratic state based on rule of law, equality, youth empowerment, women’s participation, and respect for minorities.

Reiterating Jinnah’s guiding motto of “unity, faith, and discipline,” he underlined that these ideals are as relevant today as they were in 1947, expressing confidence that sincerity and commitment to Quaid’s vision would ensure Pakistan’s strength and prosperity.

In his message on the occasion, PM Shehbaz also honoured Quaid-e-Azam’s unparalleled statesmanship and political foresight that resulted in an independent homeland for Muslims despite immense challenges

He said Jinnah’s untiring efforts protected the religious, cultural, economic, and political rights of Muslims and culminated in the creation of Pakistan, the world’s first Islamic ideological state.

The prime minister noted that despite the severe hardships of partition, such as mass migration, limited resources, and administrative difficulties, Jinnah laid the foundation of a resilient Pakistan and gave the people the courage to face those challenges with hope and confidence.

He reaffirmed that the Father of the Nation envisioned Pakistan as a country rooted in democracy, justice, religious freedom, equal rights, and the protection of minorities.

Stressing that these principles remain the secret to progress and prosperity, PM Shehbaz called for collective national resolve to make Pakistan a developed nation and a true Islamic welfare state.

He further emphasized the responsibility of passing down Jinnah’s vision and teachings to future generations

Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, calling him a visionary leader whose unwavering determination, principled politics, and far-reaching leadership ensured a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

Marking the 77th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Gilani said the nation observes this day with profound respect and reverence.

He said that Jinnah’s life represented justice, integrity, rule of law, and democratic values, and that he firmly believed every citizen of Pakistan, regardless of religion, caste, or creed, must have equal rights and equal opportunities for progress and prosperity.

Gilani stated that this occasion serves as a reminder to renew commitment to the principles of unity, faith, and sacrifice, urging the people to adopt these values as a collective path toward a stable, progressive, and prosperous Pakistan.

He pointed out that the real strength to achieve Jinnah’s dream lies in Parliament, democratic institutions, and the united struggle of the people, while also praying for divine guidance to help the nation turn Pakistan into a modern welfare state in line with the founder’s vision.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on his 77th death anniversary, acknowledging his remarkable struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan and gave the Muslims of the subcontinent a vision, identity, and an independent homeland.

In his statement, Naqvi described Quaid-e-Azam’s character as a rare blend of moral integrity, honesty, and unwavering resolve, adding that through courage, persistence, and hard work, he transformed a community into a nation.

He said Jinnah envisioned a Pakistan where justice, equality, and dignity would be ensured for every citizen, praising his firm stance on minority rights as a peak of ethical statecraft and recalling his belief that women were central to national progress.

Naqvi emphasized that Jinnah considered leadership a sacred trust dedicated to the greater good of the nation and envisioned Pakistan as a just, dignified, and knowledge-loving state based on equality and mutual respect.

“Even after 77 years, Jinnah’s philosophy continues to guide Pakistan’s direction and identity, with “Faith, Unity, and Discipline” remaining his greatest legacy to the people,” the minister said.
